Every fall in TV land, the powers that be throw some new shows on the air to see what sticks.

These are called “pilots”, and if the top-notch ratings aren’t there, they’re pulled from TV.

Similarly, people — maybe even you — are creating interview-based products every day, and many of those will see the same quick death that TV pilots do.

Why do these interviews die?

Mainly because the interviewer doesn’t see the value in them… and, for the most part, with good reason.

They just know that the interviews aren’t top-quality, or weren’t done to the best of their ability, or just don’t deliver enough powerful information to truly help the listener.

They end up burying these interviews on their hard drives, or just giving them away, because they’re not confident in their ability to sell the content.
