Yup, that’s what I was relieved to see (the title of this post) in the spring of 2006.

I’d just landed in southern Oregon for a little R&R at my parents’ place.

For the previous 2 months I was wrapped up in a consulting gig in another country.

Because of that commitment, the traffic (and therefore resulting sales) to my first interview-based site, ManifestLife.com, slowed down considerably.

I knew I had to come up with a plan to put the site back in top-of-mind awareness in the niche community where I had built my brand.

Here’s how I did it…

I called up a few teachers I knew who had yet to be part of my members’ portal and asked them if they’d be willing to share some things they’d never shared before about the art & science of conscious creation.

I wanted insights and lessons they had only shared with some of their ADVANCED students.

Within 3 days, I was able to complete 3 brand-new 75-minute (on avg.) interviews.

I ADDED those to 3 prior interviews I had never released, and created a NEW section within our Manifestation Portal called ‘The Secret M-Files’

I now had some fresh, compelling, sizzling content for my affiliates to tell their readership about.

It gave them a reason to endorse this new section.

And, within 4 days, 10 mailing partners helped me bring in over $40,000 in revenue, resulting in close to $18k in profit for my business.

The bottom line on recorded conversations — conversations that hold depth, energetic impact, and spontaneous revelation — are that they’re the next best thing to having a hit record.

You create the content CORRECTLY (as in, ensure you bring out the best in the teacher or expert) once, and you can build a profit funnel that pays you over and over into the distant future.

However, here’s the rub: the only reason I was able to create top-quality interviews was because I had already spent three years doing mediocre interviews, and learning from my mistakes.

It was also a huge learning curve trying to figure out how to get the guests, what to offer them to say yes, how to record the interviews, and what to do with them afterwards before they were ready to sell.

If I had had an all-encompassing package like Interviewing Unwrapped (click here) when I started, I could have made a lot more money much faster.

By the way, profiting from interviews by selling access to the content is just ONE way to make money with them…
